The potential and expressed capacity for physical, mental, and social activity throughout the stages of a person's life, human behavior.
Humans, like other animals, go through a series of stages of development over the course of their lives. Each stage has its own set of physical, physiological, and behavioral characteristics. Pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood (including old age) are these phases. The study of human development, also known as developmental psychology, aims to describe and provide an explanation for the evolution of a person's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral abilities and functioning throughout their entire life, from conception to old age.
